Young girl gang-raped in Islamabad

Rawalpindi: A young social media influencer was gang-raped by four male bloggers in a house in New Amarpura here.

The victim, ‘NR’ lodged a complaint with the Waris Khan police station, saying that she is a social media activist and an influencer living at 6th Road with her parents. She said that a friendship was developed with a young blogger identified as ‘Sardar’ who invited her to a dinner on Wednesday, picked her up from her home, and took her to a house in New Amarpura. She said that he dropped her at his house and left to fetch food for dinner. Three young bloggers were already there at the house and told her that they were also invited for dinner. Later they started vulgar acts during the conversation, held her at gunpoint, and gang-raped her.

The Waris Khan police conducted a raid at the house and arrested the prime accused. However, the police have been raiding the places tipped off by the prime suspect but none of the three alleged rapists have been hunted down yet. The police took the victim to the hospital for a physical examination and sent the sample to the lab to seek a medical report.
