LAHORE:Provincial Minister for Industry and Trade, SM Tanveer Thursday chaired a meeting to review the progress on establishment of the maiden Business Facilitation Centre in Punjab.
The meeting was convened at the Tevta Secretariat was attended by Secretary of Industry and Trade, Ehsan Bhutta, Additional Secretary Commerce, CEO of PEIDMC, Additional Secretary Housing, and focal persons from the departments concerned.
Addressing the meeting, SM Tanveer revealed that the Business Facilitation Centre, established in the Punjab Small Industries Corporation's Al-Falah Building, Head Office, will be formally inaugurated by the chief minister in the initial week of December.
This groundbreaking initiative is poised to transform the investment landscape in Punjab, dismantling obstacles to investment by offering a one-stop NOC service for establishing new factories.
The minister emphasised that dedicated focal persons from various departments were appointed, and officers from 17 relevant departments of both Punjab and the Centre would be stationed at the Business Facilitation Centre.
To ensure efficiency, the performance of the centre will be monitored through latest technology. SM Tanveer underscored that the Business Facilitation Centre represents a pivotal step toward attracting new investments to the province. Earlier, Ehsan Bhutta provided an elaborate overview of the centre during the meeting.
