Islamabad: In a historic meeting, Minister Madad Ali Sindhi expressed the deep-rooted bond between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing their shared cultural, religious, and historic ties. The Minister highlighted the importance of Saudi Arabia as a second home for Pakistanis, acknowledging the invaluable role the country plays in addressing global issues within the Muslim community.
Madad Ali Sindhi emphasized the significance of Islamic teachings, especially Seerat e Nabi (peace be upon him), and announced the establishment of a collaborative research centre with Saudi universities. This centre aims to focus on Seerat e Nabi, specifically addressing political, social reform, and legal aspects. The Minister stressed the need to prioritize the quality of education, reduce out-of-school children, and enhance research on Seerat Nabi (peace be upon him).
Welcoming the Saudi delegation, Minister Sindhi commended Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi for exemplary efforts in upgrading systems at IIUI, noting the consistent rise in educational standards under his leadership.
Minister Sindhi revealed that 30 thousand Madrassas in Pakistan are now registered and providing a diverse education, urging collaboration with Saudi Arabia to train religious leaders. Additionally, he raised awareness about the challenges faced by Muslims in Gaza, emphasizing the need for a unified front within the Ummat-e-Muslima.
Imam e Khatib Dr. Salih bin Abdullah al Humaid proposed collaboration in areas of mutual interest, including medicine, cyber security, climate change, engineering, artificial intelligence, distance learning, and renewable energy. He praised Minister Sindhi's dedication to reforming Pakistan's public education sector and expressed the enduring brotherly relationship between the two nations. This significant meeting marks a milestone in the collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, paving the way for advancements in education, research, and mutual cooperation on various critical issues.
