ISLAMABAD: WOW Resorts, a hospitality company founded by Pakistani-American businessman Anwar Ali Aman, has entered a partnership with Marriott International to develop a resort and residences on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, a statement said.
The project, valued at $1.3 billion, will feature the JW Marriott Al Marjan Island Resort & JW Marriott Residences Al Marjan Island, a landmark property that will showcase Marriott International's iconic presence on the island, a popular destination for tourists and investors.
The partnership was announced at a ceremony in the UAE, attended by Aman, CEO and founder of WOW Resorts, representatives of Marriott International, and Arch. Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO of Marjan.
The resort and residences, expected to open by late 2026, will offer waterfront living experiences, world-class amenities, and access to aquatic sports and nature activities. The project is designed by celebrity architects and design houses from Los Angeles and Dubai.
"It is a privilege to work with the prestigious Marriott International and Al Marjan Island to unveil our flagship project in one of UAE's most eagerly anticipated developments," Aman said. "We will also soon complete the construction for Bejaan Hotels - our exquisite five-star resorts offering in Chitral, Pakistan, our hometown."
WOW Resorts is also developing projects in Phander, Gilgit, Skardu and Islamabad, aiming to enhance the hospitality sector and promote tourism development in Pakistan.
