PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Monday ordered the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to probe the alleged anomalies in the recruitment for Rescue 1122 in the merged districts.
A two-member PHC bench consisting of Justice Shakeel Ahmad and Justice Waqar Ahmad issued the directions in a short order. The PHC bench ordered the NAB to conduct an inquiry into the recruitment for Rescue 1122 in Mohmand tribal district.
Ziarat Khan Mohmand Advocate presenting Sadaqat Shah and Shaz Ali told the court that Rescue 1122 had placed an advertisement in 2019 to fill out some vacant positions in Mohmand district.
He alleged that the relevant rules and regulations were violated by recruiting unqualified persons against the vacant positions. The counsel said that as per the record of the National Database and Registration Authority, 17 of the appointees did not belong to Mohmand, adding that some of the job-seekers possessed dual domicile certificates.
After hearing the arguments, the court ordered the NAB to conduct an investigation to establish the facts. The court directed the petitioners to approach the bench after the completion of the inquiry.
