Lahore Police conducted 5,872 search operations this year
LAHORE: Lahore Police executed 5,872 intelligence-based search operations this year, as highlighted by Lahore Police Chief Bilal Siddique Kamyana in a statement Monday. Emphasising the significance of these operations, he reported the scrutiny of 156,961 houses, 79,513 tenants, and 610,903 individuals.
The comprehensive search extended to 260 hotels, 64 guesthouses, 118 hostels, and 8,827 shops. Notably, enforcement of the Tenancy Act resulted in action against 1,056 individuals, while 3,730 people, including 70 proclaimed offenders, were apprehended under section 55/109 of the Criminal Code. CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana underscored the strict measures taken against criminal elements and affirmed the continuous use of modern technology in search operations to uphold law and order. Kamyana reiterated the commitment of Lahore Police to unyielding vigilance for the protection of citizens.
