Rs1m released for cops medical treatment

LAHORE: IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar released Rs1 million for the medical treatment of police personnel of various districts.

According to the details, Mianwali constable Azizullah Khan was given Rs5 lakh and constable Nadeem Akhtar was given Rs2 lakh for medical expenses. ASI Muhammad Rafiq was given Rs1 lakh, injured constable Muhammad Irfan and Ghazi M Ilyas of Sialkot were also given Rs1 lakh each for treatment.

IG condoles death of ASI

IG Punjab expressed grief over the death of ASI Shahbaz Ahmad of Punjab Police in a traffic accident in Sheikhupura. He directed the best medical care of the ASI's wife and daughter who were injured in the accident. ASI Shahbaz Ahmad was hit by a high-speed tractor while returning from the village to Lahore on a motorcycle with his wife and daughter Sunday morning. ASI Shahbaz Ahmed expired while his wife and daughter were seriously injured.
