Three die, 13 injured in van, dumper collision

LAHORE:Three people died and 13 others injured in a collision between a van and a dumper near Saggian Road on Sunday.

The rescue teams shifted the bodies to the morgue and 13 injured to different hospitals. The victims were identified as Saddiq, Faqeer Hussain and Ahsan Ali. The injured were identified as Arman, 13, Rani BiBi, 50, Fayyaz, 48, Zeeshan, 35, Abdullah, 19, Arshad, 50, Ashraf, 70, Mudassar, 35, Rehmat, 60, Adnan, 20, Mujhaid Ali, 23, and Aliul Haq, 35.

Youth shot dead

A 22-year-old youth was shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists in the Sherakot police area on Sunday. The victim was identified as Farhan. Police shifted the body to the morgue.

Man hit to death

A 45-year-old man was killed by a speeding dumper in the Shad Bagh area on Sunday. The man, yet to be identified, was hit by a speeding dumper while crossing the road near Ring Road in the Shad Bagh area, resulting into his instant death. The body was shifted to the morgue.

15 die in road accidents in 24 hours

The Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 1,169 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. In these accidents, 15 people died, whereas 1,272 were injured. Out of these, 641 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 631 victims with minor injuries were treated on the spot by Rescue medical teams.
