ISLAMABAD: The caretaker government has formed a 19-member Industrial Advisory Council.
Federal Minister of Industry and Production Gohar Ejaz has been appointed as the council chairman. Twelve private members and six members from the public sector are included in the council. The council will submit its report before the general election.
The Ministry of Industries and Production has issued a notification on the formation of Industrial Advisory Council.
Muhammad Ali Tibba, Fawad Ahmed Mukhtar, Raza Mansha, Aamir Fayyaz Sheikh, Waqar Ahmed Malik, Abdul Samad Dawood, Shehbaz Yasin Malik, Shahzad Asghar Ali, Syed Haider Ali, Farooq Naseem, Ahsan Bashir and Sameer Chinoy have been included in the council.
The council members include all the provincial chief secretaries including the chief secretaries of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Finance secretary, commerce secretary, industry and production secretary and chairman FBR have also been included in the council.
Industries and production joint secretary would perform duties as the council secretary.
According to the notification, the council would meet on a weekly basis and submit a report in 10 weeks. The Ministry of Industries and Production will provide secretariat support for the council.
