LAHORE : A meeting of the Central Executive Council and General Body was organised by the National Bank Employees Union (NBEU) at Bakhtiar Labour Hall under the chairmanship of Zeeshan Haider Niazi, President of the Union.
The union dignitaries discussed the problems of the employees, including the package 2024 and the abolition of Section 27-B of the Banking Companies Ordinance, which negates the rights of the employees of the banking industry. They urged to solve the issues immediately.The Secretary General of NBEU expressed gratitude to the Chairman Senate Mr. Sadiq Sanjrani and the committee of senators for solving the problems of employees. “Based on Nature of Duty, Officers Grade III, II, I under the category of “Workmen” under IRA-2012 should also be made a part of the clerical, non-clerical pay package and their annual appraisal should be avoided as a pay package which is widely mentioned,” he maintained.
The NBEU body forwarded the agenda: “Promotions in all cadres should be announced immediately. TA/DA allowance should be sanctioned to the drivers and other staff doing duty outside the city based on audit staff.
