Probe sought into Kamran Bangash’s repeated shifting
PESHAWAR: The lawyer of former provincial minister Kamran Bangash through a letter asked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa inspector general of prisons to order an impartial inquiry into the shifting of his client from one jail to another.
Ali Zaman Advocate representing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Kamran Bangash said in the letter that his client was illegally handed over to the police from one district to another.
He demanded that an impartial inquiry should be conducted as to why his client was being shifted from a prison in one district to a prison in another district.
He said that Kamran Bangash was arrested from Peshawar on October 18, but he was shifted to Dera Ismail Khan when his application for bail was accepted.
He said that a court in Dera Ismail Khan gave him relief, but he was handed over to the Chitral Police. He said that later the Chitral Police handed him over to the Peshawar Police. He said that Kamran Bangash was a former provincial minister and such measures could endanger his life, therefore, a probe should be conducted into these actions.
