ISLAMABAD. The Special Court established under the Official Secrets Act on Friday postponed hearing of the cipher case without any proceedings until Nov 21 in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
The cipher case hearing against former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi was deferred owing to a stay order issued by the Islamabad High Court.
Special Court judge Abual Hasnat Zulqarnain conducted hearing of the case on the jail premises. Former first lady Bushra Bibi and PTI chairman’s sisters were also present in the jail during the hearing.
FIA Special Prosecutor Zulfiqar Naqvi told media that the hearing was adjourned in the light of IHC’s stay order. No witness was produced by the prosecution side as well.
