LAHORE:Consul General of Turkiye, Lahore Durmus Bastug called on Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce SM Tanveer at Tevta Secretariat on Friday.
During the meeting, the issues of Turkish investment companies in Punjab were reviewed. Secretary Industries and Commerce Ehsan Bhutta, Additional Secretary Housing, CEO FIEDMC and representatives of Turkish investment companies were also present in the meeting. Ehsan Bhutta gave a briefing about the Business Facilitation Centre.
Speaking on the occasion, SM Tanveer assured to resolve the problems of the Turkish investment companies as soon as possible according to the law.
He said that a Business Facilitation Centre is being built in the provincial capital to provide facilities to the domestic and foreign investors.
He informed that, complaints of domestic and foreign investors will be redressed immediately and officers of 17 departments will provide all investment facilities to the investors under one roof in this centre.
Tanveer said that Pakistan and Turkiye have deep friendly, fraternal and economic relations. We need to take more steps to promote bilateral trade cooperation between the two countries, he added.
He said that Punjab government will provide Turkish investors all possible facilities for their investment in the province. Consul General of Turkiye said that the establishment of a Business Facilitation Centre is a commendable initiative of the Punjab government. Turkiye and Pakistan want to strengthen economic ties and expand mutual trade as well, he added.
