ISLAMABAD: Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI chairman, has expressed no confidence in the bench of Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq.

Bushra Bibi’s lawyer said the request to meet chairman PTI in privacy in jail should be fixed before another bench. Justice Aamir Farooq heard Bushra Bibi’s request.

It was argued in the petition her husband was a former prime minister, who has been in jail since August 5, 2023. She is allowed to visit him in jail every Tuesday. But she cannot discuss family matters during the meeting due to the presence of prison officials.

The petitioner stated since she is not able to discuss personal, private and family-related issues with her husband during the jail meeting, orders should be issued to the superintendent Adiala Jail for meeting with husband in privacy.

Petitioner’s counsel Intizar Panjotha said this application should be fixed for hearing by another bench. “In all our cases scheduled before you, same decisions are coming”, he said.

The Chief Justice said, “You are talking inappropriately, don’t do that. It’s not like, there are decisions that can be challenged, and you’ve done that. No reason for objection was given to the bench before the court”.

The court adjourned the hearing by issuing notices to Supreme Court Bar, Islamabad High Court Bar, Pakistan Bar Council and Islamabad Bar Council.
