MANSEHRA: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Hazara range, Mohammad Ijaz Khan on Thursday lauded the cooperation of tribespeople in flashing out terrorism from the erstwhile tribal belt of Torghar.
“We appreciate your cooperation as you never sheltered militants, though they made attempts to sneak into the erstwhile tribal belt,” he told a gathering in Judbah area in Torghar. The DIG said that the police were striving hard to address law and order issues and that was why more and more police stations were also being inaugurated in the district.
“I am optimistic that you would continue to extend your support as always to police against the outlaws on your soil,” he added. The DIG also responded to queries raised by tribesmen saying Torghar was given the status of a settled district in 2011, and police were gradually expanding its infrastructure.
