BUNER: Awami National Party leader Aimal Wali Khan said on Thursday that fair and free elections was their sole demand to install a democratic and constitutional government in the country.
“We will respect the people’s mandate and will resist the puppet government with tooth and nail,” he said while addressing a workers convention in PK-25 Gadezai in Buner.
He said that every individual and institutions must respect the power of vote to put the country back on the right track to development and prosperity.Aimal Wali said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had abundant natural resources but the people were compelled to go abroad for their livelihood to support their families.
He alleged that forests and lands in Malakand division were being occupied on one pretext or the other and the residents were not compensated for the same.He also lashed out at the former prime minister Imran Khan for his alleged corruption and poor governance in the KP for almost nine years and four years in Centre.ANP provincial general secretary Sardar Hussain Babak, PK-25 candidate Afsar Khan and others also addressed the event.
