A former legislator belonging to the Muttahida Quami Movement- Pakistan, Muhammad Muzammil Qureshi, met former president Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday night and announced his joining the Pakistan Peoples Party.
The meeting held at the Bilawal House was also attended by Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab. The former president welcomed Qureshi, the MQM’s former MNA who also remained a member of the party’s Coordination Committee, upon his decision to join the PPP.
Zardari greeted Dr Asim Hussain, Faizan Rawat and other members of the PPP’s Karachi chapter for making progress in organisational affairs in District Central of the city. Others who attended the meeting included PPP leaders Khawaja Sohail Mansoor, Tanveer Ahmed, Syed Sarfaraz Ali, Tariq Rasheed, Muhammad Taufeeq, Faraz Abid Lakhani, Waheed Memon, Rizwan Irfan, SM Naqi, and Maaz Ahmed.
