ISLAMABAD: Secretary General Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari said on Tuesday that pre and post-election negotiations could be held with any political party, which is registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan as the party is against turning political difference into political enmity.
“The PPP had allied even with the worst political opponents for the continuation of constitutional democracy and democratic parliamentary system,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.
Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari said the convicted and disqualified Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif are not eligible to become the head of the political party.
He said that the PPP was against the unconstitutional tactics of sit-ins and civil disobedience and always stood with democracy and the parliament.
Trough addressing the public gathering, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari started the election campaign at Mithi, said Bokhari, adding the PPP will emerge as the single largest party in the parliament and Bilawal will be the prime minister.
“The Election date has been announced on strong demand of the PPP and it will participate in the elections based on the manifesto and performance,” the PPP leader said.
PPP has taken practical steps to provide equal rights to every citizen and the party executed people’s welfare development projects without discrimination, said Bukhari.
He said Gwadar Port is the proud achievement of Asif Ali Zardari and despite the external pressure, the main beneficiary of the Pak-Iran project is Balochistan province.
Syed Nayyer Bokhari said it was the PPP, which showed the exit door to the masterminds of extra-constitutional measures through no-confidence motion.
