PESHAWAR: Following the appointment and swearing-in of caretaker Chief Minister Arshad Hussain Shah a day before, the nine-member acting cabinet was retained as Governor Ghulam Ali administered oath to the members on Monday.
The cabinet members took oath of their portfolios at a ceremony held the Governor’s House Peshawar. It was second time the cabinet members took oath and for some of the ministers it was third time to take oath.
Those who took oath included Syed Masood Shah Bacha, former inspector general of provincial police and a close relative of late chief minister Mohammad Azam Khan, Justice (retired) Irshad Qaisar, Ahmad Rasool Bangash, Asif Rafiq, Dr Najeebullah, Dr Mohammad Qasim Jan, Engineer Amir Durrani, Engineer Ahmad Jan and Syed Amir Abdullah.
Cheif secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, IG KP police Akhtar Hayat Khan and other senior government officials were also present at the oath-taking ceremony.
