RAWALPINDI: PMLN leader Hanif Abbasi has been acquitted in riots case. The court announced the decision after five years of the registration of the case in City Police Station against Hanif Abbasi. The other accused in the case were Chaudhry Tanvir, Daniyal Chaudhry, Sarfraz Afzal and Chaudhry Ibrar. All other accused except Hanif Abbasi were acquitted from this case. Hanif Abbasi was charged with staging rallies against the arrest of Capt (R) Safdar. The decision of the case against Hanif Abbasi was reserved two days back. The decision of the acquittal plea was announced by civil judge Naveed Akhtar. Rawalpindi police had registered the case against Hanif Abbasi in City Police Station in 2018.
