Murder convict to be hanged on 19th

BAHAWALPUR: Bahawalnagar District and Sessions Judge Nisar Ahmad on Thursday issued death warrants for a condemned prisoner for April 19.
The prisoner, Ali Sher of Shehar Fareed, had gunned down Muhammad Mazhar over a minor issue on April 1, 2010 in Shehar Fareed police limits. According to the Bahawalpur New Central Jail sources, the prisoner’s heirs have been informed about the black warrants.
Two commit suicide

BAHAWALPUR: Two people committed suicide in separate incidents here Thursday.
Ahmad Khan, 21, ended his life by swallowing poisonous pills over a marriage issue at Mohallah Noorpura. In another incident, Muhammad Sadiq, father of four, committed suicide by shooting himself over a domestic dispute near Chishtian.
