Birds will fly from one lake to another in election season, Chandio says
Hyderabad: Many birds will fly from one lake to another during the election season, and some of them have already started flying over the lake, said Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Senator Moula Bakhsh Chandio while addressing a corner meeting by the party in the Hussainabad area on Friday.
Referring to the departure of Abdul Hakeem Baloch and General (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch from the PPP to Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz, Chandio said that some personalities were saying that they would replace Bhutto, but they were here only for some tests.
He said that the spirit of Bhuttoism was still alive and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was carrying it forward. Pronouncing the PML-N as a regional political party, he said that the political figures who were joining the party would leave soon. He said that PPP had been victorious because of the sacrifices of its party workers.
Chandio said: “When Imran Khan went to the United States, he said that he would go back to Pakistan and remove the air conditioner from Nawaz Sharif's barrack. But when Bilawal went to the US, he said that Khan was the prime minister of the country, and he supported his words”.
He said that whenever a fair election is held, PPP would be successful. “I ask the stakeholders of the country and those who monitor the country to stop doing artificial experiments permanently, hold fair elections, and accept whoever the people elect,” he added.
He said that former army chief General (retd) Qamar Bajwa destabilised the institution. He said that attempts to test the judiciary and armed forces of the country must stop. He said that there are good expectations from Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa and he should create the conditions that would make people remember him.
