Leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s Balochistan chapter have expressed their gratitude to the party leadership for their decision to hold the main ceremony of the party’s foundation day in Quetta and said the public meeting to be held on November 30 will be a grand and historic event.
They said that if the next general elections are conducted in a free and fair manner, then no power in the world could stop PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari from becoming the prime minister of Pakistan.
Addressing a press conference at the media cell of the Bilawal House, they said: “The PPP has emerged as the largest party in Balochistan in the local bodies elections, and it will become the single largest party in the province in the upcoming general elections as well.”
The PPP leaders said the people of their province would make the party of Quaid-e-Awam Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari successful with a huge majority.
They said the PPP had carried out the most number of development works in Balochistan. “Since the establishment of the Balochistan High Court and the University of Balochistan, the most number of key development works in the province have been done during the government of the PPP,” they pointed out.
The party leaders told media persons that Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri would be the convener of the committee formed for the preparations of the public gathering to be held in Quetta on November 30.
Meanwhile, PPP Central President Women Wing Faryal Talpur said her party had always served the people of Balochistan and protected their rights. She stated this while presiding over a meeting with the leading PPP leaders from Balochistan in Karachi.
The meeting reviewed the preparations for the grand Jalsa in Quetta on the occasion of the PPP’s 56th Foundation Day. The political and organisational matters of Balochistan and the strategy of the party for the general elections were also discussed in the meeting.
The leaders from Balochistan were unanimous in their opinion that the announcement regarding the holding of the main event of the PPP’s Foundation Day in Quetta had created new enthusiasm among the people of Balochistan.
Talpur said the people of Balochistan had pinned all their hopes on Bilawal. She said the people of Balochistan had always supported her party, but unfortunately, its mandate was stolen in the past.
She recalled that Asif Ali Zardari gave the gift of the “Aghaz-e-Huqooq Balochistan package” during his term in the presidency. She said the new NFC award and 18th Constitutional Amendment adopted in the past PPP’s regime had also empowered the provinces. She said that after the next general elections, the next prime minister would be Bilawal and the chief minister of Balochistan would also be a Jiyala.
She said that if Bilawal became PM, he would give employment to the youth of Balochistan, as the PPP leadership did not make any hollow promise. The PPP leaders from Balochistan who addressed the press conference and met Talpur included Mir Chingiz Jamali, Rozi Khan Kakar, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, General Rtd Abdul Qadir Baloch Sarbuland Khan Jogizai, Mir Sadiq Imrani, Ali Madad Jatak, Sabir Baloch, Qasim Achakzai, Nooruddin Kakar, Sardar Imran, Riaz Shahwani, Ghazala Gola, Zareena Baloch, Haji Khan Mohammad Barich, Ainuddin Kakar, Ejaz Baloch.
