Project inaugurated to boost milk, meat production

LAHORE:A Grass Root Incentivised Dairy Development (GRIDD) project was inaugurated in provincial capital with the collaboration of Pakistan Army, Punjab Livestock Department and a private company on Friday.

The GRIDD project is another valuable contribution by the Pakistan Army to increase the production of milk and meat in the country and for the welfare of small farmers. The expansion and promotion of this project will help a lot in the development of livestock in the country.

Representatives of related institutions participated in the opening ceremony. Farmers of the area participated in the event in large number and appreciated the patronage and support of Pakistan Army in this project.

Free veterinary services, including free vaccination of cattle and guidance will be provided to registered small farmers through the GRIDD project. Cattle farmers will also be provided free seeds of high breed animals.

Arrangements to improve the collection of milk from cows on a daily basis will also be made. Apart from this, the provision of interest-free loans from banks will be made easier for small farmers.

CBD holds sales partner summit

Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), organised a Sales Partners Summit on Friday.

Members from the real estate and business community participated in the summit which was organised to create awareness about the projects of CBD Punjab. COO CBD Punjab, Brig (retd) Mansoor Janjua, Executive Director Commercial M Omer, Executive Director Legal Barrister Bilal Afzal Khokhar, Director Marketing Waseem Siddiq, Director Operations Col (retd) Fazeel Ghumman and other officials of CBD Punjab attended the event.

While addressing the event, Brig (retd) Mansoor Janjua said that CBD Punjab has so far on boarded 38 partners. CBD Punjab is making a business district on an international scale, which will pave way for the development of Punjab and provide new business opportunities to business community.

Executive Director Commercial CBD Punjab M Omer gave a briefing about the projects of the authority. He shed light on CBD Punjab projects like Axis, Lahore Prime, Quaid District, Bab District, Walton Road upgradation and Ghora Chowk Flyover. The summit was concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony.
