KARACHI: Consul Generals of more than 18 countries hosted a farewell reception in honour of outgoing Consul General of Japan Odagiri Toshio.
The ceremony was arranged by the Dean of the Consular Corps and Consul General of Indonesia, Dr Jun Konkoro Hadeningrat, at his residence.
Consul Generals of Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, France, Russia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, China and Turkey participated in the farewell ceremony.
In addition to expressing his gratitude to Consul General of Japan Odagiri Toshio for his diplomatic cooperation, he also extended a warm welcome to Consul General Abdullah Muqeed Al Mutairi of Saudi Arabia and Consul General Naif Shaheen RM of Qatar. Gifts were also presented to the Japanese Consul General in the ceremony.
