The young visitors of Marghazar Zoo miss the absence of lions or tigers, which according to them, reduce their charm while going through cages of various animals and birds at this recreational spot.
“Whenever I come to the zoo, I see empty cages of lions, which always depress me a lot. I asked this question sometime back from an official on duty and he asked me that lions are available on high rates that they cannot afford,” said Muneeb Ahmad, a 12-year-old visitor. He said there should be a lot of lions and elephants in the zoo, but instead they see only replicas of dinosaurs and other animals.
It is pertinent to mention here that the number of lions and tigers has reduced significantly all over the world due to illegal hunting.
