Man kills infant daughter

PESHAWAR: A father killed his three months old daughter by hitting her to the ground during a quarrel with his wife in the city. 

An official of the Badaber Police Station said that a woman Shagufta got registered first information report against her husband identified as Javed, a resident of Bhanamari. She claimed that she was present at her father home in Kagawala locality, when her husband Javed took her three months old daughter Manahil from her and throw her against the ground over a family dispute.

She said Manahil sustained injuries when the father hit her to the ground. The man escaped the scene, she added.

The mother said that Manahil was brought to the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), where she died of her wounds.  Police registered the FIR against Javed.

Two killed in Haripur accident: Two persons were killed when a truck carrying tomatoes rammed into a dumper near village Kholian Bala here on Thursday. As a result, two persons identified as Muhammad Nawaz, resident of Lassan Nawab in Mansehra, and Zain Ali, resident of Sialkot, died on the spot.
