Karachi: Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former Sindh Assembly member Shahzad Qureshi has said that after the announcement of a PTI rally, the Sindh government has resorted to new tactics.
The process of detaining PTI workers from different areas has been started once again, and eight workers have been detained in the Korangi district’s Al-Falah area, but there is no evidence of their involvement in illegal activities, he said.
The police are trying to implicate workers in cases registered against unknown accused, Qureshi said, adding that the police have made the PTI their target for political revenge.
Asking the Sindh police to “correct its Qibla”, he condemned “the illegal and unconstitutional” arrests of PTI workers.
