Woman commits suicide

NOWSHERA: A married woman allegedly committed suicided by firing on herself with a pistol in Shongi area in Naizampur in Nowshera district on Tuesday.

Sultana Bibi, the sister of victim Tanzila Bibi, told the police that her sister had been married to one Wajid Ali in Shongi area in Nizampur some seven years ago.She said that she had always strained relations with her mother-in-law due to fights on a daily basis.

She said that her sister did not have children and the mother-in-law would always taunt her for it. The complainant said that her sister got fed up with these taunts and usual fights and finally ended her life by firing on her. The police registered a case and started an investigation.
