UHE to start intermediate college
LAHORE: The Syndicate of Home Economics University (UHE) has given approval to start Intermediate College in the university. The Syndicate also approved a 35 percent increase in salaries as per the policy of the Punjab government besides approving 100 percent fee waiver for university admissions to intermediate position holders. Chaired by Provincial Minister Higher Education Mansoor Qadir, the UHE Syndicate also approved the appointments of the members of the Selection Board and the Board of Advanced Studies and Research. The meeting also approved the annual budget and the overtime policy for the university employees.
MoU signed
Punjab University’s Hailey College of Banking & Finance (HCBF) and Insurance Association of Pakistan (IAP) signed an MoU here on Tuesday. On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, HCBF Principal Dr Ahmed Muneeb Mehta, Chairman Regional Committee IAPHisham and representatives from both institutions were also present.

Punjab University Deputy Director ORIC, Dr Khalid Mahmood presented at the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, aiming at Tackling Global Water Challenges. Based on his research he presented groundbreaking advancements in space technology for monitoring global surface water quality and developing space-based solutions for flood and drought control.
Following the presentation, Dr Mahmood engaged in a hands-on discussion with top-tier scientists from across the globe, working collaboratively to refine and enhance the proposed solutions.
