Gas shortages in the country have gone beyond anyone’s control. Years of mismanagement have led to a situation where people have to resort to a dangerous method of living – using gas cylinders to cook food. For many people, this option is not safe, given how most people live in small apartments with large families and fear that a small accident can lead to a great loss.
The government, however, is completely silent. It has increased gas prices and warned people of gas loadshedding during winter. What are we supposed to do? We cannot buy electric stoves because electricity is also a luxury in this part of the world. Does the government realize the seriousness of the issue?
