Governor lauds youth’s role in country’s growth
LAHORE: Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman said that the skilled youth played a positive role in the economic development of the country. He expressed these views during his meeting with Tevta Chairman Brig (retd) M Sajid Khokhar, who called on him at Governor’s House here on Monday. The promotion of technical and vocational education was discussed in the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, the governor said that the promotion of technical education fostered employment opportunities for the youth. He said that technical courses provided employment opportunities to the students and made many families economically self-sufficient and prosperous. Governor Punjab said that it is commendable that Tevta is making youth economically independent by providing them technical and professional education. In this modern era, the youth in the educational institutions should be imparted professional education, he added.
