KHAR: A youth was target-killed in Badisamoor area near Inayat Killay Bazaar in Khar tehsil in Bajaur tribal district on Sunday.
The police said that unidentified gunmen opened fire on Inayatur Rahman in Badisamoor area near Inayat Killay Bazaar, the business hub in Khar tehsil.He sustained multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot. The accused fled the scene after committing the crime.
It was learnt that unknown attackers had also shot dead the brother of slain Inayatur Rahman in Inayat Killay a few months ago. This was the fourth such incident of target-killing in Bajaur tribal district in two weeks.
Earlier, a worker of the Jamiat-Ahle-Hadith Pakistan (JAHP) was target-killed by an unidentified assailant in Tarkho Bazaar in Mamond.Qari Ismail, a resident of Lagharai, was present in Tarkho Bazaar when an unidentified attacker opened indiscriminate fire on him.
The JAHP worker sustained multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot.Unknown assailants had also target-killed JAHP workers Maulana Zainul Abideen and Maulana Tilla Muhammad in the district.
No individual or militant group has claimed responsibility for the killing of workers of JAHP.It may be mentioned that the elders and political leaders had pledged to take joint steps for improving law and order situation, security arrangements in bazaars to end incidents of target killing and drugs on Saturday last.
The officials had vowed that no one would be allowed to take law into their own hands and create law and order but such incidents could not be prevented despite rhetoric.
