BATKHELA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTIP) Chairman and former chief minister Pervez Khattak said on Saturday that former prime minister Imran Khan acted like a dictator and wanted to introduce the presidential form of government in the country.
Speaking at a gathering in Thana Baizai in Malakand, Khattak alleged that the ex-premier was not a benefactor of the nation but always thought about his own interests.
Several former activists of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf quit the party and announced joining the PTIP.
Former chief minister Mahmood Khan and former lawmakers also addressed the gathering. Pervez Khattak said the PTI government couldn’t address the country’s economic crisis. He said the PTI government was actually a one-man show, who wanted to become a king. He said that Naya Pakistan and change were hollow slogans through which the masses were deceived. “Imran Khan’s dictatorial attitude paved the way for the success of no-trust motion against him,” he added.
On the occasion, ex-chief minister Mahmood Khan said as the chief minister, he launched mega development schemes to improve people’s socioeconomic conditions.
He said that had done mega development projects for Malakand Division, including Swat. He praised the role of establishment in bringing lasting peace in Malakand Division and elsewhere in the country.
