LAHORE : Provincial Minister of Industry and Commerce SM Tanveer said that Punjab Chief Minister will inaugurate the first ever Business Facilitation Centre of the province in December this year. He said this while chairing a meeting held here at Tevta Secretariat here on Saturday.
Additional Secretary Industry and Commerce, Deputy Managing Director PSIC, focal persons and officers of departments concerned, attended the meeting.
The minister said that this Business Facilitation Centre will work as one window for the investors and businessmen to get all the approvals, NOCs and other facilities for the establishment of the factories in the province. SM Tanveer said that the Business Facilitation Centre will be made on the ground floor of the Head Office of Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC), Al Falah Building.
The focal persons of the concerned departments have been appointed for the Business Facilitation Centre, now the investors will get NOC and other facilities under one roof for setting up new factories, he said adding that the Business Facilitation Centre is a milestone in bringing new investment in the province. He said that an effective system for monitoring the performance of the Business Facilitation Centre has been evolved. Operational Review Committee and Steering Committee will monitor the performance of Business Facilitation Centre, he added.
The Operational Review Committee headed by the Secretary Industries and Commerce includes the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and officers of the relevant departments.
SM Tanveer said that the caretaker government of Punjab is trying to promote investment in the province. He directed to prepare SOPs regarding the working of business facilitation centre.
