LAHORE: PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has demanded immediate dismissal of the PML-N government and arrest of Sharif family, claiming that proofs of Panama Papers were enough to send the Sharif family behind bars.
None of the other leader in the world has denied the proofs revealed by these papers, Qadri said while addressing a press conference via video link from Canada Wednesday. He said if Sharifs were sent to jail and interrogated, they would reveal many more crimes that they had committed, adding that action would have been taken only if the Constitution, Parliament, FIA, FBR and NAB were independent and free from government pressure.
He claimed that on March 21, 2016, Hassan Nawaz purchased a property in One Hyde Park, London, worth 42.5 million Pounds and the papers were made and signed on March 30, 2016. He said this process of loot and plunder has been continuing for the last 35 years and if the relevant institutions wanted to arrest the corrupt they could have done it easily any time since abundant proofs were available. But it seems that they did not have the will or were under pressure. Qadri said it is our religious and moral obligation to struggle and work against corruption, extremism and terrorism and for this we are ready to join any alliance and support any political party.
He said the present rulers joined hands with extremists and terrorists to win the 2013 elections. He said these rulers pay the terrorists money and in return the terrorists support them and do not attack them. He lauded the recent statement of army chief in which it was stated the collaboration between corruption and terrorism is a serious threat to the very existence to the country. He wished the army chief all the success in eliminating this nexus.
He said Panama Leaks are the largest financial scandal of the country and now the prime minister has gone for a medical check-up to the UK. He said company directors, shareholders and countries will not change and no one will be able to investigate or arrest the real culprits.
When the prime minister will return even 10 medical boards will not be able to find the trace of single bacteria in his body and he will have all answers to questions of TV anchors and other media persons, he added.
