LAHORE:A 240-member delegation of police officers of Special Initiative Police Station (SIPS) visited the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) here on Friday.
The Safe Cities officers briefed the delegation about the e-challenging system and working of the authority. The delegation visited the operations and monitoring centre, 15 emergency help centres, and call dispatch control centre. Visiting safe cities for awareness of modern infrastructure is an essential part of the training courses of security institutions.
The delegation was told that the Punjab Safe Cities Authority Electronic Data Analysis Centre has provided digital evidence in more than 20 thousand cases. On this occasion, the members of delegation expressed their views and said that the visit is very important for the guidance of law enforcement agencies.
The Punjab Safe Cities Authority has invited IT professionals, students, and everyday citizens to visit its state-of-the-art headquarters, offering an insight into the workings of a contemporary policing institution.

MD Ahsan Younas emphasised that this opportunity is open to all Pakistanis to witness our advanced facilities and provide valuable guidance for further enhancements. Additionally, the Safe Cities project is expanding its reach to include Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Muridke. The Safe City initiative has responded to over 11 million calls on its helpline '15,' delivering assistance to countless citizens. Moreover, the Punjab Safe Cities Authority has submitted camera-obtained evidence in more than 20,000 ongoing court cases.
