The Sindh government has formally issued a notification to implement an earlier decision to specify Rs32,000 as the minimum monthly wage for labourers all across the province.
The Sindh labour and human resources department issued the notification to this effect after the interim provincial cabinet approved the latest recommendation for a minimum monthly wage in the province.
The notification was issued in line with the Sindh Minimum Wages Act 2015 and will come into effect retrospectively from July 1, 2023. The notification will apply to all unskilled, male, female, juvenile, and adult labourers working at all commercial and industrial establishments in the province.
