HYDERABAD: On the suspicion of abduction of two boys who went missing almost two months ago from the Phuleli area in Hyderabad, their parents approached the Sindh High Court (SHC) through their lawyer Abdul Haq Qureshi.

The petitioners pleaded before the SHC divisional bench comprising Justice Karim Agha Khan and Justice Khadim Hussain Tunio that 17-year-old Amanullah and 15-year-old Abdul Samad have been missing since September 9.

Their lawyer requested the court to tell the police to file a report. He said the police are not doing their job, as so far no clue has been found as to who abducted the two boys or where they are.

The court was informed that one of the boys worked at an eatery and the other at a salon. The lawyer said the minors’ families have no enmity with anyone. He said the police released the two suspects they had arrested, so now the families are worried about non-cooperation of the police.

After hearing the arguments, the court issued notices to the IGP and the Hyderabad SSP, telling them to file their replies. The court also ordered the Phuleli SHO to appear in person on November 23.

The two boys are cousins, both residents of the Phuleli area. According to the Hyderabad police, they have been using all resources to find the minors.

Police claimed that during their search they found some clothes and mobile phones on the bank of the Phuleli canal, but it would be premature to say anything more about the discovery at this point.
