Medical education backbone of health system
LAHORE: Caretaker Health Minister Prof Dr Javed Akram has said that the medical education is the backbone of any country's health system. The medical education had been taught only as a subject in olden times but nowadays it has gained real status, he said while addressing an event of a private university.
Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rahman attended the conference as a special guest. Fatima Jinnah Medical University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal, KEMU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mehmood Ayaz, University of Child Health Sciences VC Prof Dr Masood Sadiq, UHS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Ahsan Waheed Rathore and others participated.
In his address to the participants of the conference, Prof Dr Javed Akram stressed creating a platform for governments to highlight the importance of medical education.
