Romanian envoy meets Islamabad mayor

Dean of Europe Emilian ION, Ambassador of Romania, met the first elected Mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Anser Aziz in his office. Both dignitaries discussed matters of mutual interest.

The Romanian ambassador congratulated the first Mayor of Islamabad and wished him success in his future endavours. The ambassador said his country was keen to promote relations with Pakistan, which is only possible with the help of local leaders and political figures such as Anser Aziz.

Ambassador Emilian further said the leadership of Islamabad was now in the hands of Sheikh Anser Aziz who is not only a dynamic person but has a number of plans to make the city ever better and a must-visit tourist attraction for the foreigners especially.

The ambassador while talking to DNA further said he had plans to promote cooperation between the city government of Bucharest and the Islamabad administration, for which he would encourage and facilitate meetings between the Bucharest city government officials and the newly elected Mayor and officer-bearers of Islamabad administration.

The first Mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Anser Aziz thanked the ambassador for visiting him and assured him of his support and cooperation meant for promotion of bilateral relations between the two countries.
