Retiring PHP DIG paid tribute

A farewell ceremony on the retirement of PHP DIG Rana Muhammad Iqbal was held at CPO on Wednesday. 

Addl PHP IG Amjad Javaid Saleemi, DIG Investigation, Punjab, Ch Muhammad Shafique, SSP Patrolling, Lahore region, Babar Bakhat Qurashi, SP CIA, Lahore, Muhammad Umar Virk, SP Headquarters Gull Sanobar and other officers of PHP participated in the ceremony. Amjad Javaid Saleemi presented a shield, piece of rug and bouquet to DIG Rana M Iqbal. DIG Ch M Shafique said, “I am proud of Rana Iqbal’s friendship. My friends are the assets of my life. He is a friend of friends.” SSP Babar Bakhat Qurashi said, “He is a kind officer. He will enjoy the honour. SSP M Umar Virk said “The ACR is written by officer but there is an ACR written by subordinates. That is written by heart and respect. You are the officer who lives in the heart of subordinates”. DIG Rana Muhammad Iqbal said: “I have no regret in my life. Allah has bestowed me honour and respect. We all are subordinate to law not to each others.”

HONEST OFFICERS: Honest, efficient and hardworking officers would be given respect and corrupt officer would be taken to task. Mirza Faran Baig, DIG NH&MP Central Zone, said this while addressing a Police Darbar at Beat 13, Jumber. Sector Commander SSP Masroor Alam Kolachi was also present. DIG Mirza Faran Baig directed the officers to perform their duty without fear and ensure the implementation of law. He directed to the patrolling officers to ensure firm enforcement of law on motorways and national highways. DIG Mirza Faran Baig said providing help and guidance to the commuters besides their counseling was the hallmark of Motorway Police and it should be continued in all circumstances. He laid stress on quick and timely response to Helpline 130 Call. He said immediate help be extended to the road users in distress and special care be given to the patients, old age persons, ladies and children.
