LAHORE
An Additional District and Sessions Court on Wednesday awarded six months jail term to a drug pusher namely Ilyas alias Ilyasi. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs3,000 on the convict. In case of default in payment of fine, the convict will face further jail term of one month. The police had arrested Ilyas from the area of Baghbanpura and had seized 300 gram hashish from his possession. Later, a challan was submitted in which police had declared Ilyas guilty of keeping hashish. On Wednesday, Ilyasi recorded his confessional statement after which the court has convicted him.
