Minor children sustain critical injuries

BAHAWALPUR: A man and his wife were killed in a road accident near Chak-47/Fateh, Chishtian in Bakhshan Khan police limits on Tuesday afternoon.
Amanat Ali, of Kabir Wala, along with his wife and two minor children was riding a motorcycle and when he reached near Chak- 47 Fateh a speeding tractor hit them. As a result, his wife died on the spot, and he and his children sustained critical injuries. The injured were rushed to THQ hospital Chishtian where he died and the children were referred to Bahawal Victoria Hospital.
SOUND SYSTEM OWNER BOOKED: Police registered a case against an owner of a sound system on charges of giving his loud speakers to a party.
Civil Lines police booked Habib Ahmad who rented out his sound system for the Jamaat-e-Islami Bahawalpur ‘Corruption Free Rally’.
The case was registered on the complaint of sub-inspector Muhammad Imtiaz. According to the police so far Habib has been not arrested.
On April 10th, the JI Bahawalpur city and activists across the district staged a protest demonstration led by JI MPA Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar outside the Fareed Gate and used loud speakers in the demonstration.
