‘MQM-P’s opponents to face worst defeat’
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) will make history in the coming general elections as its opponents will suffer their worst moral and political defeat. MQM-P Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui made this prediction on Wednesday while addressing a general workers meeting in Liaquatabad. He said the party had been raising concern for the rights of the people of Karachi and they must support the party to attain their rights.
He said the MQM-P did not need to be in power or government to serve the public. “Karachi is our only shelter where we live with peace. There is no other place for us,” he remarked.
Speaking on the occasion, MQM-P Senior Deputy Convener Syed Mustafa Kamal said many parties did not accept the MQM-P's majority in Karachi. He added that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) used the government machinery to get majority seats from the city.
