The DIG convened a meeting with all SPs, DSP Amin, DSP security and operations of the city traffic police at his office. He directed the SPs to immediately remove illegal parking mafia and encroachments from the roads in their jurisdictions for the convenience of the citizens.
He instructed the DSPs to be present on the roads, especially during rush hours, taking strict action against one-way violators and underage riders and drivers. The traffic police chief directed the officers to ensure restriction of rickshaws on Sharea Faisal and prevent unnecessary stops by public and private transport on the thoroughfare.
He said that traffic police patrolling on roads should ensure coordination among themselves and use microphones to advise people to follow the rules.
