I want to pay tribute to the Afghan cricket team for creating an upset in the ongoing Cricket World Cup by beating Pakistan during the match played in Chennai on October 23. It was a convincing victory and displayed the skill and vigour of Afghan players.
Most Afghan players learned playing cricket during their stay in Pakistan as refugees. Creating a cricket team in Afghanistan, where cricket was never played, is an achievement in itself. I want to congratulate Afghans for winning and ask Pakistani cricketers to learn a lesson from them.
