LAHORE
A delegation of Punjab government will soon visit Turkey for a comprehensive survey of KOSGEB model to promote entrepreneurship technology development and access to capital and business incubation facilities in the province.
Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said this while addressing the members of a committee to review the progress to implement the KOSGEB model on Monday. He said Tevta with the collaboration of Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) would identify potential clusters for pilot launch on KOSGEB model.
He added the model would be helpful to get technical assistance from Turk organisation to start new courses relating to entrepreneurship management.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said under Punjab Growth Skill Strategy-2018, skill providers in Punjab had been given a collective target of training 2 million youth to contribute 8pc GDP growth rate target. He said Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority would also send its 15 trainers to Turkey for entrepreneurial training and added Managing Director PSIC would take the lead in the entire exercise and correspond further with KOSGEB.
