Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Mohammad Siddique-ul-Farooq has said there is much room fopr improvement and upgradation of our institutions to reaffirm their role in strengthening democracy and putting in place social justice.
He was addressing as chief guest to the participants of concluding ceremony of “Pakistan Day and 74th Foundation Day Celebrations” of Anjuman Faizul Islam here on Monday. Anjuman Faizul Islam (AFI) President Muhammad Siddique Akbar Mian, VP Abdul Razzaq, General Secretary Raja Fateh Khan, Raja Sabir Hussain, Secretary Information Muhammad Badar Munir, teachers and a large number of inmates and students of AFI were present on the occasion.
Siddique-ul-Farooq said national integrity and veracity was vital to fight against terrorism, poverty, un-employment, illiteracy and other social evils. “Serving the humanity is the direct help and service to the Almighty Allah”, he added. He said the creation of separate independent country for Muslims of Indo-Pak was made possible due to amalgamation and unbreakable unity of our forefathers. He maintained that if we began to fight with ignorant and push them to fight back, they will harm our whole society and there will be no one to teach them and guide them towards right way.
He stressed upon the people to shun their differences and unite to love humanity, fights against terrorism, poverty, illiteracy and shoulder their responsibilities as a true Muslim to make their beloved country a peaceful and progressive Islamic welfare state.
He also paid glowing tributes to the office-bearers of AFI, especially late Mian Hayyat Bakhsh, who devoted himself for the cause of serving the orphans.
AFI President Muhammad Siddique Akbar Mian while highlighted a short history of AFI and said at present, the Anjuman is managing six welfare centers, two at Rawalpindi and four in surrounding rural areas where orphans were provided with best residential and education facilities including technical training.
VP Abdul Razzaq thanked the participants and said AFI was playing a purposeful role in national integration by rehabilitating the retrieved orphans and destitute children from all over Pakistan, as useful citizens, practicing Muslims, patriotic Pakistanis and moderate human beings.
