Security of banks

JHANG: On the orders of DPO Humayun Masood, the DSPs of Jhang, Shorkot, Ahmadpur Sial and 18-Hazari have started pursuing security measures of banks in their jurisdictions.
The SHOs of the district are also complying the orders of the district police chief in this regard. The DPO through a directive has advised that weapons, security guards, CCTV cameras and emergency alarm system should be verified and checked by the police officials as mentioned in the Punjab Shops and Establishment (Security) Act 2015.
SALARY STOPPAGE: Taking notice of grievances of female employees of the Health Department, District Accounts Officer (DAO) Fazal Elahi has directed the assistant accounts officers of gazetted and non-gazetted branches that monthly pay of employees of all government departments would only be stopped on the written orders of the authorities concerned.
Earlier, the DHQ hospital MS and other administrative officials of the Health Department had written a number of letters to the DAO for suspension of monthly salaries of nurses on account of one or more days absent from duties. Later, the salaries were paid without completion of legal formalities.
Meanwhile, on the directions of the DAO, GF fund releasing case of former Jhang Public Relations deputy director Aqeel Khan has been returned to the Punjab Information Department for its completion, which was pending with the auditor for the last month.
